Bike is in the shop

Bike is in the shop again (since last night). The rear felt quite wobbly. I suspect the ball berrings will need to be replaced. I called the shop, they said the repairs cost 110 RMB (ah yeah.. US$ 13.25). I will pick it up tonight. Maybe I will put up photos of the broken parts…

cdrum.com - Photos In case

cdrum.com - Photos In case you haven’t noticed, I have put up a few pictures. Hmm, did I post about this before? Can’t remember, and I am too lazy to check the history, so here is the reminder. I am going to put photos of my (temporary) motorbike (motorcycle) later today. Speaking of, you know how I said it was broken? Well, I got it fixed on Monday night, 40 RMB (~US$ 4.

Life Update I still love

Life Update I still love China. No immediate plans to return to the U.S. I have been driving the motorbike to work, until last Monday, that is… It is now broken. I guess sitting in a garage for 3+ years isn’t good for the engine. It now has a hole in one of the cylinders. I will hopefully get it fixed this week. Cause 1: I am thinking about buying my own bike.

Beijing Update In general, things

Beijing Update In general, things are going well here. Work is keeping me busy. I started driving a side-car motorbike (??? - motuo che) - not exactly legal, but I am working on that. Never thought I would be driving a motorcycle, let alone in China. Quite fun, actually. In the long run, it will allow me to save money from taxi fares. Broadband status: zilch. My apartment complex is stupid, the broadband company they selected is gay and slow - still problems, not available yet.
