I am back in Beijing. Everything ok, just busy at work, so I don’t have time to write an extended entry about my trip to the states. I hope to do this during the weekend.

Why is Detroit such a depressing city to go to? I walk off the airplane into the crapy LC Smith Terminal and wait for my baggage at the baggage claim. Not happy to be “home” right now. Is it “home”, though? I don’t know, I think I will find out how I feel when I get back to Beijing. After being here for a day, i am kind of experiencing a culture shock of sorts.

Leaving today, Wednesday, 4:35PM. Arriving in Detroit just after 8PM. Leaving Detroit on June 23, after 7PM, ariving beijing June 24, 5:20AM.

It is 2:48 AM, Wednesday morning. I just got a phone call from our CEO who is in London on business. He told me that I need to pack and get on the first flight to Detroit today. The company in the states I am working with just finalized their plans and confirmed they will meet with me on Thursday and Friday. “Whatever you do get on that flight”, he said.

The US trip is being delayed by a day, at least. Still waiting confirmation from the company in Detroit when they want me to come. Will keep everyone posted..
