Here are the pictures for PaintMOB - Weelim’s Birthday - PaintMOB Yesterday (Sunday) was an eventful day. First, had issues with people around lunch time which made me late for a lunch appointment with a friend (I won’t go into details here). Lucky for me, he is generally late to things, so he didn’t mind me being late. Second, on the way back home from tutoring (2-3:30), my starboard muffler broke - fell off… Had to pull over and retrieve it.
Had an action packed weekend! Saturday we went on a day-long motorbike trip to the north-west of the city, to an area called Baiyanggou. The weather was wonderful! Had 7 bikes on the trip, good group of people, no break downs. Had a close call with one of the riders almost falling off a cliff, but, luckily that didn’t happen.
Had an interesting encounter with an interesting photo-shoot. We were even able to take photos with the girls.
Looking to buy a 12inch PowerBook. Donations Welcome!
Last night was the weekly Pop Quiz event at John Bull Pub. The Singaporeans (minus Ms. Jane) defected to their own team, but we had a few replacements. ;) We failed. Miserably. We got probably 6th or 7th place. But, we did beat the Singaporean team, so at least we can hold our heads high when with them. There was another “China” category - we got 5 points (out of 9) .
After much insistence, look at what Melanie did to me on Sunday. This stuff burns! However, I must admit, it does leave you with soft, yet, firm, skin.
I added 2 new galleries:
Holden’s Birthday World Carnival - Beijing World Carnival The group of us arrived at the Carnival grounds on Saturday, July 24 just before 5 pm (could have been there earlier, but, someone was late….) The price of entry was 50 RMB, but we were given 10 “free” tokens to use at games and rides. (Note: each token was 5 RMB, so I am not sure how “free” these were…) 4 of us went on a ride called “Batman”.
