Today, I started playing around with A9. My initial impressions: ehh, 50%. I like the Diary feature and the history save. Right now, things are a bit ad-hoc. Finally Firefox is getting there. I like the Live Bookmarks, but it could still be better. I am using del.icio.us for bookmark sharing between computers (for now), but it isn’t perfect. Google, I think, is a bit slow with getting new features in, like diary and search history - two features I would use.
I was a bit worried that they maintainer(s) of the Google Bar extension for Firefox fell off the side of the planet. The version I had installed previously, **0.9.0.16** does not work with Firefox 1.0 (or at least, it doesn’t without a “work around”. I generally don’t like work arounds, so I did some digging. According to [this post](http://mozdev.org/pipermail/googlebar/2004-November/000688.html) in the [MozDev](http://mozdev.org/) mailing list for the [Extension](http://googlebar.mozdev.org/), there is a **new(er)** version (**0.

While Wednesday is winding up for most people here in the UTC+8 timezone, I’ll be sticking around work for a while longer. The following have caught my eye today: - [Engadget](http://www.engadget.com/entry/3597362272750250/) is running a story of how an 11 year old boy in central China attempted to sue his mother for **not buying him a computer**. - Started using **[del.icio.us](http://del.icio.us)** to manage my non-company-specific bookmarks. You can see my bookmarks [here](http://del.
Today, it **rained** in the morning. So, I had to **battle** with others to get a taxi. It seems rainy days are the best days for Taxis asyou don’t see very many free. My pants are wet, my motorbike is even wetter, and I have a lot of work to do today. So, it is turning out to be a good day, I think, and will most likely get better. :-/ On a lighter note, I had my camera with me (the main reason of buying a new smaller one!
Added some pictures of yesterday’s lunch with colleagues using my new camera. **Note:** these photos are not representative of the quality of the camera. [Photos](http://old.cdrum.com/gallery/Random04)
