Google Analytics Screen shot For those of you who don’t know, Google released a cool web app called [Google Analytics](http://www.google.com/analytics). As I use [Wordpress](http://www.wordpress.org) to power my site, I decided to look around the net for a plug-in. Yes, Analytics was just released yesterday, but, people are fast. Yes, I have already found two. They are: Google Analytics Plugin - But this didn’t work, crapped out on installation Google Analyticator - Installation didn’t crap out, looks to be working …but, I am still waiting for Google Analytics to notice that the dang java-script code has been added to my site.

This was a busy weekend for me. No, I didn’t go into work. Cheap Flights I decided to finally make a trip home for Christmas on my own dime (the previous 3 times I went to the US were for business trips). Northwest is having a deal to fly from China to Washington DC (any of the 3 area airports) for RMB 5500 (~US$ 679), round trip. Not bad! So, Melanie and I will be flying to Baltimore on the 22nd of December.

As you know, I live in China. As you know, China monitors internet usage and blocks sites the government doesn’t like. As you know, I use [Wikipedia](http://www.wikipedia.org) everyday. Wikipedia is now blocked in China. This is a dark day in the China Internet World. Nice work govt. Son of a Bitch. What the heck?! [CNN](http://www.cnn.com) is running a story about a [mother giving birth to her 16th child](http://edition.cnn.com/2005/HEALTH/parenting/10/12/sixteen.kids.ap/index.html). 16 Children. And she wants more!! This is just plain WRONG and the woman and huspand should be shot. I am having trouble even seeing me with 1!! The family could start their own sweat shop. I hear labor in Arkansas is cheap.

This morning we made reservations to Hong Kong. There are no other international flights out of China open. Note to the government: Please allow more international carriers to come in. We got a decent flight deal and hotel deal, all in all, we are paying about half the cost of Bali. So, that means, more money for shopping. We might even go to Disneyland Hong Kong - hopefully the Hong Kong authorities can keep the neighbors to the north in check when it comes to queues and public restroom usage.

This morning, we were told that as long as one person wanted to go on the trip, they would still have it. Note, we booked a tour package due to the last minute decision. We were going to ditch the group and stay on the beach and do our own thing. If we wanted to cancel, the company would refund our money. This has changed. As of this evening, Sunday night, less than 12 hours to departure, out of a group of 25, Melanie and I were the only two who wanted to go.
