Foldera, will it work in China? Omnidrive is slow so I'm worried

Now that I will (hopefully) get a Foldera account (soon), I am now wondering how it will work from China. I didn’t post about this, but a few months ago, I got a beta invite to Omnidrive.   Let me tell you, the speed sucked big time from China.  Over the weeks, it sped up a bit, but it still is a bit slow.  Well, come to think about it, I haven’t actually tried it for 2 or 3 weeks, so I’ll do a quick test in a bit. That brings me to this point: from my experience (and this isn’t always true) the smaller operations (i.e. Omnidrive, Dreamhost [where this site is hosted, BTW], etc.)  tend to be slow, sometimes, painfully so to access from China.  The bigger players, like Google, Microsoft, Yahoo!, etc. generally don’t have issues as they have a massive global CDN infrastructure. Dreamhost works fine for my personal site, as I don’t go to it that often, Wordpress Admin is pretty low-bandwidth intensive, so I generally don’t wait too long.  But for email, I don’t have time to sit and wait for my email to load, that’s why I use GMail. However, with the Chinese Govt’s love/hate relationship with Google, I won’t be surprised if one day they decide fuck it, and block Gmail.  (That would suck for me, btw).  Heck, they blocked Google (not Gmail) a few weeks ago for a certain anniversary that I won’t mention here.  That rendered my Google Calendar inoperable as its hosted on Google’s root domain. So, maybe Foldera is a viable option.   It all depends on the speed.  Misters Michael Sampson and Richard Lusk?  How’s Foldera’s backbone pipes?
