Unlike the usual dry, hot summer days in Beijing, today, and much of the past 2 or 3 weeks have been wet, humid, sticky, muggy, and (insert adjective here describing crappy wet, humid, sticky, and muggy weather). It seems like Hong Kong weather (although a few degrees cooler, thankfully). My bike is having issues. Yesterday on the way to work, it stalled and couldn’t restart. I ditched it on the sidewalk and went to work (late). Last night, I drained the carburetors (thinking there was water in them as there was no ignition when kick starting it). It started with only a few kicks. This morning, I kicked about 20 times, give or take 10, then it started. It was running for about 3 minutes then finally stalled. I tried starting it again with no luck. Again, no ignition, so could be bad gas? There is power, so maybe a cable is damaged that leads to the ignition coil, or maybe my carburetors need to be readjusted to change the fuel-air mixture ratio (sorry, trying to sound mechanically smart here). I will take it to the shop on Saturday and let them deal with it.
