Went to lunch today with my colleague Mr. Milky Cheese on his new 2-wheel motorcycle. For pictures, click here. Along the 3rd ring road on the way to the Sanlitun area, the bike ran out of gas. Nice work Milky. That a boy! Luckily we were at the top of the hill when that happened, so we coasted down the hill and off the ring road (at the dongzhimen exit), dodging a few taxis, finally comming to a stop in the fulu. No reserve tank on this Honda, so we had to catch a cab to the nearest gas station. The station didn’t have any containers we could use but there was a service shop just next door that had one we could borrow (for a nominal 10 RMB). Aparently, the gas station came up with this BS story about how they will only put gas in a vehicle (including motorbike) but not a canister or any kind. TIS? Milky borrowed the canister from next door on the condition they would get it filled up with gas at the station. No problems! Weird, but oh well. Part of the fun. We took the cab back to the bike and found out it was stollen! Just kidding. We went to eat at subway. Yum. We managed to return to the office in under 1 hour, thanks to Milky’s lead foot.
