It has been a while.

It has been a while. Sorry. I am currently on vacation, but still in Beijing. It is the annual May Day holiday (Labor day) - we get 7 days straight off, but we will have to work the weekend of May 8. Lucky us. I was going to go on a motorbike trip this holiday but decided not to in favor of relaxing and doing nothing. So far, I have done just that. Here is a rundown of what has been going on the past few weeks. I got my drivers license. I can drive all cars, light trucks, and 2/3 wheel motorbikes. We went on a company outing to the west of Beijing last weekend (weekend of April 24). We did about 5 hours of hiking and stayed in this ming style village (around 300 years old). We were not allowed to build a bonfire because it was before May 1. I installed Linux (finally) on my pc. Yay. I bought a small plant today for 4 RMB. They started digging in the vacant lot across from my apartment today. This starts several months of noise. I am now a beta tester for GMail (Google’s mail service). I am going to figure out how I can transition my email to it so I can use google search to find my emails. Can’t think of other stuff, will add more later.
