Day 1 of 9 It

Day 1 of 9 It has been a week since I had my new bike. It works perfectly! Although, it is really cold.. Didn’t feel like riding to work today and freezing. It is impossible to get decent gloves here. Today I recieved yet another daily planner as a gift from an unnamed client. Are daily planners the only gifts companies consider? Maybe… Mine did. And aparently, we are required to use them - why did the company pay for M$ Exchange licenses with calendaring built in and still purchase company branded daily planners? Your guess is as good as mine. This is the 1st of three long weeks of the year. Because Chinese New Year starts next week, we get 7 days straight off (including 2 days of a weekend). So, that is 5 days off work. But wait, we can’t have that many, not allowed, so we get to work the weekend prior to the holiday, so that technically means we only get 3 “free” days off. 9 days of work then 7 days off. Ouch. Currently no plans for the holiday, boy I hope I leave Beijing for a few days. I received an SMS from my flatmate today saying I have to come home at 7:30 tonight so I can talk to the guards about the bikes. Currently, I have 1 bike just sitting there, the one I used to drive, and my new bike outside of business hours. I wonder what they will say. Could it be I obstruct the path cars can take? Is it the oil leaks? I’ll let you know.
