My thoughts on Thanksgiving: (censored 20031128 1357) Thanksgiving is a day in which we celebrate the *********** of an un-determined number of *************** ****** for the benefit of the ********-pilgrims who settled in North America so long ago. It was these ****** ********* who, being the extremely hospitable (not *******, mind you) people that they were, provided these hungry ********-pilgrims food and supplies. The ******* ********* thought that these “**[********]********* *******” were a ****** to their well-being and decided to ********* them before they would be ******* ***** in some sort of ***** *********** ceremony. And now, we Americans (********* apparently give thanks on another day, for something else? Not sure… I never understood *********) have dedicated the last Thursday of November of each year to this event in the effort to provide an ****** to have a *********** 4 day weekend. Thanksgiving Day is generally reserved for ******** ******** (a ********** tradition in my country), an activity where the ******** ******** invite their ****-******* over for some ********* ******** experiences (with **** and *****) while they ***** their ***** to prepare for the ***** that follows this ****. The turkey dinner follows, where everyone gathers at the table, most of the time already **** **** ******** throughout the ****, and **** *****. Many families say *****, others don’t and just start eating - but both ****** the main reason for ****** ******. Regardless of whether or not the ****** is ****** well (not **** or ***** ******), the **** (usually the ****) gets **** ***** - usually because the ******* wants to ***** a ***** and get some ****** ** ***. (If the ******** has been ********* for *****, the sole reason for the ****-**** *********** is to avoid a ***** which would undoubtedly ****** in lots of *********, ******* ****** and walls ******** in ********* *****).
